Sustainability for Healthy and Prosperous Communities
At Zoë-Life, we work to impart and embed services, skills and systems that will stand the test of time. Our sustainability model rests on the following 5 principles:
Multigenerational approach
Learning from each other, passing down and passing up knowledge and skills, and caring for each other are essential elements to this approach. This is evidenced in our life-cyle approach to our work – journeying with families from the smallest to the elders.
Multidisciplinary and multisystem inputs
This is why we work with multiple departments and across many disciplines. We work at grassroots, government and policy level. This approach makes change last!
Long-term approach and relationships
There is no such thing as a quick fix, and working with long-term trusted partnerships makes our work reliable way into the future.
Our work must outlive our presence
We need to collaborate with communities and systems to ensure that our impact is woven into personal habits, family and community dynamics, institutional frameworks, and most importantly, encompasses a sustained and responsibly managed environment.
Financial sustainability for community impact
We acknowledge that the majority of those we serve lack the financial means to afford our services. Therefore, achieving financial sustainability requires ingenuity and creativity to ensure the long-term provision of services to millions living in poverty. To achieve this, we depend on long-term donors and strategic corporate partners.
Additionally, we are developing a comprehensive financial strategy that incorporates innovative social enterprise initiatives, ensuring a multi-faceted approach to financial sustainability.
